It is safe to conduct skin reaction tests to confirm for allergies before using the medication. Patients who have received systemic aminoglycoside antibiotics may be at risk of toxicity such as neurotoxicity or nephrotoxicity, so blood concentration should be monitored periodically when using this medication together. During treatment, it is advisable to avoid wearing contact lenses to prevent the spread of infection. Excessive growth of non-susceptible bacteria may occur with long-term use; in such cases, medication use should be discontinued and appropriate treatment should be sought. Healing of corneal wounds may be delayed, so caution is warranted if there is eye damage.
