This medication helps effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension when either Amlodipine or Telmisartan monotherapy does not adequately control blood pressure. How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water, regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). 40/5 mg is administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on Amlodipine 5 mg or Telmisartan 40 mg. 80/5 mg is administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on Amlodipine 5 mg or this medication 40/5 mg.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, and its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can pose serious risks to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, this medication should be discontinued immediately, and if necessary, it should be replaced with another safe medication. It should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or those with specific heart and liver diseases, severe hypotension, or shock state. Concurrent use of this medication with certain drugs should be avoided in patients with severely impaired kidney function or diabetic patients with renal impairment.
