This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure and assist in the management of hypertension in patients with essential hypertension who are not adequately controlled with monotherapy of Amlodipine or Telmisartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for this medication is one tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). 40/5 mg: Given to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Amlodipine 5 mg or Telmisartan 40 mg. 80/5 mg: Given to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Amlodipine 5 mg or this medication 40/5 mg.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus when taken during pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimesters, and should not be used during pregnancy. If pregnancy is confirmed, this medication should be discontinued as soon as possible and replaced with another safe treatment if necessary. Patients with allergies to any components of this medication or those with specific heart, liver, or kidney diseases should avoid taking it. It is also recommended that breastfeeding women do not take this medication. This medication lowers blood pressure, so it should be used with caution in patients with hypotension or severe heart failure. Patients with impaired kidney function or those at risk of hyperkalemia should regularly monitor their serum potassium levels. Interactions may occur when taken with other blood pressure medications or certain drugs, so consultation with a healthcare provider or pharmacist is required. If unusual symptoms such as dizziness, swelling, or severe fatigue occur during treatment, immediate notification to a healthcare professional is necessary. Elderly patients should start on a lower dose and increase gradually for safety. In the case of overdose, hypotension, arrhythmias, and other symptoms may occur, and emergency treatment should be sought. This medication is not recommended for children and should be kept out of reach of children.

Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing, cold sweats, pallor, severe allergic reactions, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucous membranes, severe skin reactions, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, breathing problems, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), profound lethargy, liver abnormalities (jaundice), sudden life-threatening reactions.
