This medication is used to effectively control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with telmisartan or amlodipine.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). In cases of renal impairment: for mild to moderate renal impairment, dose adjustment is not necessary; however, for patients with severe renal impairment, treatment should start at a lower dose and gradually increase. In cases of liver impairment: for mild or moderate liver impairment patients

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; thus, its use is not recommended in this population.

Precautions

This medication can pose a serious risk to the fetus, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should not be taken by pregnant women or women who may become pregnant. Additionally, it should not be used by patients with allergies to any of its ingredients, specific heart diseases, liver dysfunction, severe hypotension, or severely impaired renal function. Patients with certain conditions, such as primary aldosteronism, valvular stenosis, liver disease, gastrointestinal disorders, renal arterial hypertension, etc., should use this medication with caution and take it under medical supervision. Since this medication commonly has side effects such as dizziness, peripheral edema, and hypotension, patients should consult healthcare professionals immediately if such symptoms occur. If pregnant or planning to become pregnant, it is recommended to stop taking this medication as soon as possible and seek other safe alternative treatments. This medication lowers blood pressure; therefore, patients who are deficient in fluids or salt may experience hypotension, so consultation with a physician is necessary prior to use. There is a risk of elevated potassium levels in the blood; hence, patients who are at risk for hyperkalemia should have regular blood tests. Patients with impaired renal function should have their renal function and electrolyte levels monitored periodically while on this medication. Drowsiness or dizziness may occur during treatment, so caution is needed when driving or operating hazardous machinery. Moreover, there may be interactions with other medications, so it's important to inform healthcare providers about all concurrent medications. It is advisable for breastfeeding women not to take this medication, and it is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, cardiac arrhythmias, or renal dysfunction may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought.
