Efficacy & effects

Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension with amlodipine or telmisartan combination

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or telmisartan. In such cases, the combination of the two medications helps to efficiently control blood pressure. Efficient blood pressure control can reduce the burden on the heart and blood vessels, which is effective in preventing cardiovascular diseases. Since blood pressure control is very important in the treatment of essential hypertension, it is necessary to take this medication continuously according to the healthcare provider's instructions. This combination therapy is used to improve blood pressure and reduce the risk of complications related to hypertension.
