The recommended dosage for this medication is one tablet once a day, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., morning). The 40/5 mg dosage is for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with either 5 mg of amlodipine or 40 mg of telmisartan. Precautions

This drug can cause serious risks to the fetus, particularly during the second and third trimesters, so it should not be used by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. This drug should not be given to patients with certain conditions, such as severe liver impairment, severe hypotension, severe heart disease, or in cases of diabetes or significantly diminished kidney function. Patients with weakened liver function, gastrointestinal diseases, or renal vascular issues should use this drug with increased caution and should be monitored closely according to a doctor's instructions. During treatment with this drug, side effects like dizziness or peripheral edema may commonly occur, and in severe cases, symptoms such as fainting or cardiac anomalies may manifest, requiring immediate consultation with a healthcare professional. This drug should not be used during pregnancy, and if pregnancy is confirmed, treatment should be stopped as soon as possible and replaced with a safer option. As this drug lowers blood pressure, patients with inadequate fluids or salt may be at risk for hypotension, so their status should be confirmed before starting treatment. Because blood potassium levels may increase, caution is necessary when taking potassium-rich foods or medications, and regular blood tests to monitor potassium levels are important. Patients with reduced kidney function may experience worsening renal function when taking this drug, thus regular kidney function tests and blood tests are required. Patients with severe heart disease should be cautious with this drug as it may increase the risk of angina or myocardial infarction; close monitoring of heart status during treatment is necessary. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so caution is needed when driving or operating dangerous machinery. Interactions may occur if this drug is taken with other antihypertensives or specific medications, so it is essential to inform the doctor or pharmacist about any other medications being taken. Elderly patients may respond more sensitively to this medication, so dosage adjustments and careful observation are required. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension or cardiac dysfunction may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention, with focused management of blood pressure and cardiac function in emergency situations. This drug has not been sufficiently verified for safety and efficacy in children, so it is advised not to use it.
