Precautions

This medication can pose serious risks to the fetus during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This drug should not be administered to individuals who are allergic to the active ingredients or related compounds, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, patients with obstructive biliary disease, severe hepatic impairment, severe aortic stenosis, or those in shock. Patients with primary aldosteronism, certain heart valve diseases, impaired liver function, gastrointestinal disorders, renal artery hypertension, severe hypotension, dialysis patients, and the elderly should use this drug with caution. This medication is commonly associated with side effects such as dizziness and peripheral edema, and serious side effects such as syncope can occur infrequently, so any unusual symptoms should prompt immediate consultation with a healthcare professional. This drug should not be used during pregnancy, particularly after the second trimester, as it heightens the risk of renal function impairment in the fetus and other congenital risks. Since this drug lowers blood pressure, patients at risk of hypotension should monitor their blood pressure closely at the start of treatment, and appropriate measures should be taken if hypotensive symptoms appear. Blood potassium levels may increase, so patients with impaired renal function or heart failure should have regular blood tests, and caution is necessary when combined with potassium supplements or potassium-containing drugs. This medication can affect renal function, so patients with renal impairment should frequently check renal function through blood tests. Patients with heart disease may experience increased risks of myocardial infarction or angina when taking this medication, so they should be vigilant for any changes in symptoms. Breastfeeding women are advised against using this medication. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so caution is needed when driving or operating hazardous machinery. Interactions may occur when taken with other medications, particularly lithium, digoxin, warfarin, and certain diuretics or anti-inflammatory painkillers, so consultation with a healthcare professional and regular monitoring is necessary. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, arrhythmia, and dizziness may arise, requiring immediate medical intervention. This medication is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age, as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established.
