This medication is used to temporarily relieve pain caused by minor burns, sunburns, trauma, and puncture wounds.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply an appropriate amount based on symptoms. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 20g (1,000mg of lidocaine).

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to amide local anesthetics. It should not be used in areas with secondary infections or in children under 30 months. Those who have had allergic reactions to medications or cosmetics should consult a specialist before use. Patients with wounds at the application site, septicemia, epilepsy, heart problems, liver dysfunction, or severe shock should consult a specialist before use. Extra caution is needed for children as seizures may occur. If symptoms such as drop in blood pressure, facial paleness, irregular pulse, or respiratory depression occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a specialist. If symptoms such as trembling, convulsions, drowsiness, dizziness, nervous irritability, or loss of consciousness appear, stop using the medication immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Caution should be exercised as bradycardia or suppression of heart function may occur. If any hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. This medication is for external application only and should not be ingested; it should only be used for mild symptoms. Do not use on the eyes, around the eyes, or mucosal areas, and if it comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek ophthalmologic care. Long-term use is not recommended, and supervision by a guardian is necessary when used in children. Caution is advised when using in conjunction with antiarrhythmic medications as adverse reactions may intensify. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits before use. This medication can be transmitted through breast milk, but it is known to pose no significant risk to the baby at standard therapeutic doses. When storing, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place.
