This medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension and is effectively managed by adding it to patients whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with Telmisartan alone.

How to take

Adult dose

For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Telmisartan alone, take once a day with water regardless of meals. - Telmisartan / Hydrochlorothiazide combination 40/12.5mg: administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Telmisartan 40mg. - Telmisartan / Hydrochlorothiazide combination 80/12.5mg: administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Telmisartan 80mg.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy have not been established in children under the age of 18, and therefore, it should not be administered.

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn, particularly during the second and third trimesters; discontinue immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not take if there is an allergy to any of the components or if there are specific liver or kidney diseases. Caution is advised when using this medication in the elderly or patients with certain heart diseases or liver function impairment. Due to the presence of Hydrochlorothiazide, the skin may become sensitive to sunlight; therefore, it is important to avoid UV exposure and monitor the skin condition closely.
