This drug is used to prevent and treat vitamin D deficiency in elderly individuals, adolescents, and adults. It helps maintain bone health and improves various symptoms resulting from vitamin D deficiency.

How it is given

Adult administration

Adults receive 200,000 IU of cholecalciferol via intramuscular injection. Ensure that the annual dosage does not exceed 600,000 IU of cholecalciferol.

Child administration

Adolescents receive 200,000 IU of cholecalciferol via intramuscular injection.

Precautions

This medication contains vitamin D, so dosages should be managed carefully to avoid overdose.
