(Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia) Improvement and reduction of cardiovascular disease risk
This medication is used for patients who need to take two medications, Pimasartan and Rosuvastatin together. Pimasartan helps treat essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct to diet to improve various dyslipidemic conditions, including hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia. Additionally, this medication contributes to lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia, slowing the progression of atherosclerosis, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It is particularly effective in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular reintervention in high-risk patients over middle age. Therefore, this medication is used to improve hypertension along with hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disease risk.
Pimasartan: administer 30 to 60 mg once daily, regardless of meals. If blood pressure is not adequately controlled, the dose can be increased to 120 mg once daily. Rosuvastatin: initial dose is 5 mg once daily, and the maintenance dose can be adjusted to 10 mg once daily. The maximum dose can be increased up to 20 mg once daily. Take at the same time each day if possible.
