Precautions

This medication contains iron, and if ingested in large amounts by children under 6 years old, it may cause serious toxicity that can be life-threatening. Therefore, it should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children. Individuals with allergies to any ingredients in this medication or those under 12 months of age, as well as individuals with certain conditions that affect iron metabolism, should not take it. Additionally, since it contains lactose, individuals with lactase deficiency or genetic disorders such as glucose-galactose malabsorption should also refrain from taking this medication. It is advisable not to take this medication concurrently with phosphates, calcium salts, certain antibiotics such as tetracycline, and antacids. If you are receiving treatment from a doctor or have peptic ulcers, chronic colitis, or issues with heart or kidney function, patients with hypoproteinemia should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as hives, itching, photosensitivity, abdominal pain, cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, or decreased consciousness occur during use, discontinue and consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately. Moreover, taking high doses of vitamin B12 can lead to blood abnormalities, and overdose may result in nausea, vomiting, edema, and heart issues, so caution is required. Taking this medication along with certain diuretics may dangerously elevate potassium levels in the blood, so be cautious. It is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage, and it is recommended to avoid consuming tannin-containing teas like green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication. Finally, store this medication in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ensure it is out of reach of children, and avoid transferring it to other containers to maintain quality.
