Improvement of acute coronary syndrome (cardiovascular abnormalities) and reduction of risk of atrial fibrillation (stroke, etc.)
This drug is used in patients with acute coronary syndrome who have unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction and those who have undergone coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass graft surgery. It helps reduce the risks of death, myocardial infarction, stroke, etc., due to cardiovascular abnormalities and improves atherosclerotic symptoms. Additionally, it aids in reducing the risk of stroke and thromboembolism in patients with one or more vascular risk factors who cannot use vitamin K antagonists and at low risk of bleeding. Therefore, this drug is effectively used for the prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications.
Administer 1 capsule once daily.
This drug may prolong bleeding time, as blood may not coagulate normally, so if there is severe or prolonged bleeding, it is important to notify a doctor immediately. In particular, it is necessary to inform your doctor and dentist about taking this medication before planning surgery or starting new medications. Individuals genetically deficient in certain enzyme functions may have reduced effectiveness of this medication, increasing their risk for cardiovascular disease, and should consult their physician to determine the appropriate treatment method. Furthermore, co-administration with drugs that activate certain enzymes may increase the risk of bleeding, so it is not recommended to combine them. People who consume alcohol daily in large amounts may have an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding while taking this medication and should definitely consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication may cause allergic reactions, so individuals with hypersensitivity to any components or a history of asthma, rhinitis, or nasal polyps should not take it. Those with peptic ulcers, hemophilia, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, pregnant women in the late stages, or breastfeeding women should also avoid this medication. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or a tendency to bleed need to be cautious while taking this drug, and if bleeding symptoms occur, they should consult medical personnel immediately. If surgery is planned, this medication should be stopped 5 to 7 days prior to the procedure, and care should be taken to avoid combining it with other medications that may increase bleeding risks. This medication is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years, and elderly individuals may experience adverse reactions more frequently, so they should be closely monitored. If any unusual symptoms or bleeding is suspected during use, appropriate tests, such as blood tests, should be conducted immediately. This drug does not affect driving or operating machinery, but caution is necessary due to the risk of bleeding. Overdosage may increase the risk of bleeding, and as there is no specific antidote, treatments such as platelet transfusions may be needed in cases of severe bleeding. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and must be kept at room temperature; transferring it to another container may cause quality issues.
