This medication should be swallowed with liquid, such as water, and should not be chewed or crushed. 1) Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. If untreated or symptoms persist, an additional 4 weeks of therapy. - Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence: 20 mg once daily. - Symptomatic treatment: 20 mg once daily. Follow-up after 4 weeks if symptoms are not controlled.
Children's dosage
Adolescents over 12 years - Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease: For erosive reflux esophagitis, 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. If not treated or symptoms persist, an additional 4 weeks of treatment.

This medication is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease and erosive reflux esophagitis. It is also effective as a long-term maintenance therapy for esophagitis patients to prevent recurrence. It helps in the treatment of peptic ulcer patients infected with Helicobacter pylori and prevents recurrence. Additionally, it is used to treat upper gastrointestinal symptoms and gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers caused by taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics. It is also applied for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and maintenance therapy after preventing rebleeding of gastric and duodenal ulcers. It is broadly used for a variety of gastrointestinal diseases and ulcers.
