This drug is used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 1 tablet of this drug orally once a week. Since food may interfere with the absorption of this drug, take it at least 30 minutes before breakfast or at least 2 hours before or after any food or beverage intake throughout the day for sufficient absorption. This drug should be taken with sufficient amounts of pure water (170-230 ml) while maintaining an upright position. Do not chew or suck on it, and avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes after taking.

Precautions

This drug may irritate the gastric mucosa and can cause esophageal problems such as esophagitis or esophageal ulcers. It should be taken with a sufficient amount of water, and you should not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it. If you experience difficulty swallowing, chest pain, or heartburn, you should stop taking this medication immediately and consult your doctor. This drug should not be used in patients with esophageal abnormalities or severe renal impairment. Patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or those with certain genetic disorders should also avoid taking it.
