If symptoms persist or treatment is ineffective, take for an additional 4 weeks. - Long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis: 20 mg once daily. - Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms without esophagitis.
Children's dosage
Adolescents aged 12 and over 1) Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. If symptoms persist or are untreated, an additional 4 weeks of treatment is required.

This medication is used for the treatment and maintenance of gastroesophageal reflux disease, especially erosive reflux esophagitis, to prevent recurrence. It is also effective in treating and preventing recurrence of duodenal ulcers and peptic ulcers, which are caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. It helps in the treatment and prevention of upper gastrointestinal symptoms and gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with NSAID use. It is applicable for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome as well. Maintenance therapy is used after intravenous infusion to prevent gastric or duodenal ulcers from rebleeding. Overall, it is used for the treatment and prevention of various gastrointestinal-related disorders.
