For mild to moderate pain and cold treatment, take 200-400mg per dose orally 3-4 times daily. Adjust according to age and symptoms.

This medication is used in the treatment of degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and also effectively alleviates fever and pain due to colds, back pain, and dysmenorrhea, as well as postoperative pain relief. Additionally, it helps treat conditions like ankylosing spondylitis, headache, toothache, muscle pain, neuralgia, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis, and soft tissue injuries such as sprains and bruises. It is also used to improve symptoms of non-joint rheumatic diseases like tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis. Thus, it is used to relieve symptoms and improve the condition in various pain and inflammatory diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

For the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-joint rheumatic diseases, acute gout, and psoriatic arthritis, take 200-600mg per dose orally 3-4 times daily, with a maximum of 3200mg daily. For mild to moderate pain and cold treatment, take 200-400mg per dose orally 3-4 times daily. Adjust according to age and symptoms.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if you regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily, as it increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This drug may increase the risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction and stroke in individuals with cardiovascular disease or risk factors, hence careful monitoring of abnormal symptoms is essential during its use. There is a potential for serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration, or perforation, so older patients or those on prolonged therapy should exercise more caution. Individuals with allergies to this medication's ingredients or a history of bronchial asthma should also avoid it. Usage should be avoided during late pregnancy due to the risk of ductus arteriosus closure in the fetus, and patients undergoing high-dose methotrexate chemotherapy should refrain from using this medication. This medication should not be taken in doses exceeding the recommended amount, and it is safer not to use it in conjunction with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. If breastfeeding, the decision to take this medication should be discussed with a doctor, as it can be transferred to breast milk and may cause unusual reactions in infants. Individuals with blood disorders, liver or kidney disease, heart disease, hypertension, or a history of hypersensitivity should consult with a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Those on low-dose aspirin should be cautious as this medication may reduce aspirin's effectiveness or increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. There can be interactions when taken with specific medications, such as ACE inhibitors, lithium, diuretics, methotrexate, anticoagulants, and SSRIs, so consulting a healthcare professional is advised. If severe allergic reactions, skin rash, breathing difficulties, abnormal blood counts, gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms, etc., occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication should be taken for the shortest duration necessary at the minimum effective dose, and regular check-ups should be conducted to monitor liver and kidney functions during long-term use. In cases of overdose, serious symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and renal failure may occur, and immediate emergency treatment is required. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, and store it in its original container to prevent degradation and misuse.

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion, diarrhea, skin rash, itching, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, fever, fatigue, nosebleeds, swelling, blood pressure changes (hypotension or hypertension), palpitations, tachycardia, blood in stool, stomatitis, black stools, thirst, upper abdominal pain, oral ulcers, constipation, lightheadedness, hearing loss, tinnitus, taste disturbances

Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken by patients undergoing high-dose methotrexate chemotherapy. Also, it should not be taken in conjunction with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients on low-dose aspirin, ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide, thiazide diuretics, low-dose methotrexate, coumarin anticoagulants, or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors should consult a physician or pharmacist.

Storage

This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a container that does not allow light to enter. Additionally, the drug should be stored at room temperature, between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius, to maintain its efficacy.
