This medication is used to prevent and treat pantothenic acid deficiency. It is also used as a supplement when the need for pantothenic acid increases or when it is not sufficiently obtained through diet, for example, in cases of wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, and in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Additionally, it is effectively utilized for the prevention of side effects from drugs such as streptomycin and kanamycin, as well as for various conditions suspected of pantothenic acid deficiency or metabolic disorders, including contact dermatitis, acute and chronic eczema, and postoperative bowel paralysis. These actions help to improve the patient's health and alleviate symptoms.
