The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety after extended daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this medicine usually lasts for more than one day, continuous daily administration of this medicine is strongly not recommended. [See section 1. Warnings and section 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] No dosage adjustments are necessary in elderly patients. No dose adjustment is necessary in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. The recommended dose of this medicine is 10mg, taken with or without food before anticipated sexual activity. Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and it is essential to check the underlying cause through a doctor's diagnosis and physical examination before use. Sexual activity may put strain on the heart; therefore, patients with cardiovascular diseases should exercise particular caution, and if any heart-related symptoms occur during sexual activity, it should be stopped immediately and the doctor notified. This medication can rarely cause prolonged erections lasting more than 4 hours (priapism), and if this occurs, immediate medical attention should be sought. Patients taking nitrate medications or NO donors should inform their doctor of their use, as this medication can cause dangerously low blood pressure, and co-administration should be avoided. Patients who have experienced serious cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, angina, heart failure, or stroke recently should not use this medication. Patients with hereditary retinal disorders or hypersensitivity should avoid this medication, and it is not recommended to use it in combination with other erectile dysfunction treatments. Patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function should consult with a doctor regarding dosage adjustment or the use of this medication. This medication may cause side effects such as headache, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, and rare, serious cardiovascular adverse reactions, or vision and hearing issues. As there are many drug interactions, it is crucial to inform the doctor or pharmacist of other medications being taken, especially when co-administering with alpha-blockers, strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, or nitrate medications. It should not be used by pregnant women or children, and individuals should check their reactions before driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, immediate medical assistance should be obtained, as hemodialysis has little effect on the removal of this medication. When storing, keep it out of reach of children and maintain the original packaging.
