Long-term use should be avoided, especially in children, and it should be used with caution under parental guidance. When used in conjunction with antiarrhythmic drugs, be cautious as adverse reactions may increase. Pregnant women or those who might become pregnant should use this medication only when the benefits outweigh the risks. This drug may be transmitted through breast milk, but it is believed to be safe for infants at therapeutic doses.
