Adult dose

The recommended dosage is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with kidney impairment, an initial dose of 4 mg of Candesartan Cilexetil once daily is recommended, so this medication should not be used as initial treatment. For patients with liver impairment, an initial dose of 2 mg of Candesartan Cilexetil once daily is recommended.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in adolescents and children under the age of 18, so its use is not recommended.

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn if administered to pregnant women, so use should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or certain conditions such as severe liver disease, severe kidney disease, or hereditary angioedema should not use this drug. Elderly patients, those with hyperkalemia, liver impairment, hypotension, heart valve disease, and kidney disorders should use this medication with caution. During the use of this medication, adverse reactions such as dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, edema, and pruritus may occur, and if symptoms persist or worsen, consulting with a healthcare professional is advised. Especially for patients with impaired kidney function or heart failure, blood pressure, kidney function, and serum potassium levels should be regularly monitored. This medication may interact with other antihypertensives, diuretics, and potassium supplements; inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications. Pregnant women or those planning to become pregnant are advised not to take this medication, and breastfeeding women should avoid its use or discontinue breastfeeding. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children and adolescents under the age of 18 years have not been established, and its use is not recommended in this population. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and tachycardia may appear, and immediate medical attention should be sought. Store this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container for safety. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or lethargy may occur.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain of oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, cough with fever associated respiratory distress, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), profound fatigue, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual abnormalities, paralysis, urinary changes

This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature between 1°C and 30°C.
