This medication is used for patients who need to take both amlodipine (S-amlodipine) and atorvastatin. Amlodipine is used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases like hypertension and stable or variant angina, and it reduces the risk of hospitalization due to coronary artery disease and the risks associated with vascular interventions. Atorvastatin reduces the risk of various cardiovascular disease, lowering the risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, and vascular interventions, as well as reducing the risk of hospitalization due to angina or congestive heart failure. Additionally, atorvastatin helps to improve blood lipid levels for patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, thus aiding cardiovascular health. Overall, this medication is used to manage both blood pressure and cardiovascular risk factors, improving heart health.
