This medicine contains α-lipoic acid, so it should not be taken by those who have allergic reactions to this ingredient or other excipients. Also, there is not enough clinical experience regarding safety or efficacy in children and adolescents, so it is advisable not to administer it to children or adolescents. Rarely, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur upon administration, so caution is advised. Allergic symptoms such as rash, hives, or itching may occur on the skin, so if any adverse reactions occur, consult a healthcare professional immediately. Occasionally, hypoglycemic symptoms such as dizziness, sweating, headache, and vision problems may appear due to decreased blood sugar, so diabetes patients should thoroughly manage their blood sugar levels. There have also been reported cases of taste disorders, so if an unusual taste is experienced, it should be reported. Individuals who often consume alcohol may have an increased risk of worsening neurological disorders, so it is preferable to avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication. This medication may decrease the effectiveness of the specific anticancer drug cisplatin, so caution must be taken not to use them together. Taking this medication simultaneously with formulations containing iron, magnesium, calcium, or milk may interfere with absorption in the body, so it is essential to adjust meal and medication times. When taken with insulin or other antidiabetic medications, there is a risk of blood sugar dropping too low, so blood sugar should be regularly monitored initially, and the medication dosage should be adjusted if necessary. The safety of this medication has not been fully established in pregnant or breastfeeding women, so it must be taken carefully after consulting a physician. In cases of overdose, severe poisoning symptoms may occur, so if suspected, appropriate treatment should be sought immediately at a hospital. This medication should not be stored at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, and it should be kept in a safe place out of the reach of children, ideally in its original container to maintain quality.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it must be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is advisable to maintain a storage temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. This will help retain the medication's efficacy for a longer period.
