How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule per dose for adults, taken orally 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, therefore it should not be administered to patients with hereditary conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic diseases, peptic ulcers, and cholelithiasis should use this medication with caution. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occasionally occur during treatment with this drug, and rare cases of abdominal pain, constipation, and heartburn may arise. Allergic reactions such as itching or rashes may occur, and transient jaundice may appear but will resolve with appropriate measures. Symptoms such as general malaise or dizziness are occasionally reported as rare occurrences. If symptoms do not improve after long-term use of this medication, or if any unusual symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. It is important to keep this medication out of the reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to take this medication as it may be harmful to the fetus. Lastly, caution should be exercised when taken alongside oral diabetes medications, as the effectiveness of the diabetes medication may be enhanced.
