In patients, there is a condition of chronic persistent hepatitis with continuous increase in SGPT. This medication is used to improve liver dysfunction caused by chronic hepatitis. It helps reduce liver cell damage and aids in the recovery of liver function, thereby promoting overall liver health. Therefore, it can be effectively utilized in the treatment of chronic persistent hepatitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule for adults, taken orally 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete biliary obstruction. Additionally, it contains lactose and should not be administered to patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be exercised in patients with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer, or cholelithiasis. When taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, and upper abdominal discomfort may occur from time to time. Allergic reactions such as itching or rash may occur, and rarely skin rashes may develop, but usually, these symptoms resolve with the concurrent use of antihistamines. Temporary jaundice may appear, but symptoms improve upon stopping the medication or using jaundice treatment agents. Rarely, systemic fatigue or dizziness may occur. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and duration, and if symptoms do not improve or abnormalities occur even after taking it for up to 8 weeks, the medication should be stopped and a consultation with a doctor or pharmacist should be sought. It is important to keep this medication out of the reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to use this medication, as it could be harmful to the fetus. This medication may enhance the effects of oral diabetes medications when taken together, so caution is advised during concurrent use.
