Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with certain allergic reactions. For example, it should not be used by those who are allergic to this medication or any of its components, or who have hypersensitivity to certain antibiotics. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication, as it may affect the fetus and newborn. Patients with poor liver function or elderly patients should use this medication with caution. Drug side effects may be exacerbated due to liver dysfunction or aging. This medication can cause allergic symptoms such as skin rash and itching. If such symptoms occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor. Regular blood tests and liver function tests are important, as this medication can alter blood cell counts or liver values. Digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea may occur and, rarely, serious issues such as hepatitis or pancreatitis may develop. Central nervous system symptoms such as headache, insomnia, and dizziness may occur, so caution is advised. Respiratory symptoms or skin reactions, as well as visual disturbances, have also been reported, so if these symptoms occur, inform healthcare personnel immediately. Prolonged use may increase the risk of osteoporosis and fractures, therefore, periodic monitoring of bone health is recommended during long-term use. Since this medication strongly suppresses gastric acid secretion, it may increase the risk of bacterial infections in the gastrointestinal tract, so if diarrhea persists, consult healthcare personnel. Caution is needed when driving or operating machinery as drowsiness may occur. There may be interactions with other drugs, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist, especially when taking antibiotics, anticoagulants, or antifungals. This medication should not be chewed or crushed; it should be swallowed whole as a tablet. Keep this medication out of reach of children and avoid transferring it to another container. In case of overdose, as there is no specific antidote, symptomatic treatment and supportive care are necessary. If any suspected side effects or abnormal symptoms occur while taking this medication, consult healthcare personnel immediately.
