This medication improves symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia, reduces the enlargement of the prostate, and facilitates urine flow. It also helps to lower the frequency of acute urinary retention and reduces the need for surgeries such as transurethral resection of the prostate or prostatectomy, which may be necessary. It is effectively used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

How to take

Adult dose

As Finasteride, take 5 mg orally once daily, regardless of meals. Even if symptoms improve upon taking the medication, a minimum treatment duration of 6 months is necessary.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in children or women. Especially, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid contact with broken pieces of this medication.
