Inhibitory effect on thrombus formation and reduction of cardiovascular risk
This medication helps maintain smooth blood flow by inhibiting thrombus formation in cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina. Additionally, it prevents complications through thrombus inhibition after coronary artery bypass surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention. It is effective in reducing cardiovascular risks in high-risk patients with multiple risk factors such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and diabetes. It is used to protect cardiovascular health by preventing thrombus formation in various situations.
Enteric-coated tablets: 1 tablet once daily, taken before meals with plenty of water. Enteric-coated capsules: 1 capsule once daily, taken before meals with plenty of water.
This medication may cause serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day; thus, consultation with a physician or pharmacist is necessary. This medication should not be used by patients with certain diseases or conditions. For example, individuals allergic to this medication or similar ingredients, patients with peptic ulcers, individuals with aspirin-induced asthma, hemophiliacs, patients with severe liver or renal dysfunction, bleeding tendency patients, and pregnant women in their third trimester may be at risk if they take this medication. Furthermore, patients with renal dysfunction, cardiovascular issues, liver dysfunction, blood abnormalities, asthma, preoperative patients, children under three years of age, patients with a history of allergies, elderly patients, patients taking anticoagulants, and those with certain enzyme deficiencies should take this medication with caution and must consult a healthcare professional before using it. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, blood abnormalities, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver or kidney impairments, and neurological symptoms, so if any abnormal symptoms occur, it should be discontinued immediately, and a physician should be consulted. Particularly, when children under 14 years old have chickenpox or influenza, the use of this medication can precipitate Reye's syndrome, so it should be used with extreme caution. This medication may interact with other drugs, so consultation with a professional is mandatory if it is taken concurrently with anticoagulants, hypoglycemic agents, lithium drugs, other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antidepressants, digoxin, etc., as the risk of bleeding may increase. During pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, this medication should be absolutely avoided as it can cause severe side effects to the fetus and mother; during breastfeeding, this medication can be transferred through breast milk, hence it should also be avoided. Elderly patients are at a higher risk for side effects, so they should start at the minimum dose and closely observe their condition. This medication is in enteric-coated tablet form, so care must be taken to avoid damaging the enteric coating, and it is advisable not to take it with certain alkalizers. Finally, this medication should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in its original container to prevent misuse or degradation in quality.
