This medication should not be administered to premature infants or neonates. It contains benzyl alcohol, which can cause life-threatening respiratory issues in these patients. Administering this medication via direct intravenous injection without dilution may result in venous thrombophlebitis, so it must be diluted before use. Additionally, since it is a hypotonic solution, it should only be used for mixed injections. If any toxic symptoms appear during administration of any ingredient, usage should be immediately discontinued. Special caution is required for patients with impaired kidney function or premature infants due to the risk of aluminum toxicity. The zinc, copper, manganese, chromium, and selenium included in this medication are in small amounts, so toxicity is not usually observed at normal doses; however, the patient's condition and metabolic needs must be accurately assessed by the physician prior to administration. Patients with renal failure may accumulate zinc in the body, and patients with biliary obstruction may be at risk for accumulation of copper and manganese, necessitating caution. Chromium is mainly excreted through the kidneys and can affect blood sugar control in diabetic patients; therefore, the treatment of diabetes must be confirmed. For patients with kidney or gastrointestinal dysfunction, dosage adjustments for selenium are necessary, and for patients receiving blood transfusions, the effects of the transfusion should be considered. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been established, so it should only be administered to pregnant women or those who could become pregnant if the therapeutic benefit outweighs the risks. In cases of overdose, toxic symptoms related to each component such as zinc, copper, chromium, and selenium may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought. This medication should not be used without a doctor's prescription, and when mixing it with non-oral nutritional solutions, it should be prepared in a sterile environment. Before administration, ensure that the solution has not changed color or contains any foreign matter and store it in a dry place out of reach of children.
