This medication should not be used in certain patients. People who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should not take it. Patients with orthostatic hypotension who experience sudden drops in blood pressure and dizziness should also avoid this medication. Patients with severely impaired liver function should not use this medication, as it may increase blood concentration and the risk of side effects. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. Moreover, patients with lactose intolerance or hereditary lactose metabolism issues should not take this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should use this medication cautiously, as concentrations may increase. Elderly individuals should also be closely monitored before administration. When taken combined with antihypertensive medications or certain cardiovascular drugs, PDE5 inhibitors (treatments for erectile dysfunction), caution is especially necessary as interactions may worsen blood pressure drops. While taking this medication, orthostatic hypotension may occur, so it is important to pay attention to blood pressure changes. Patients with a history of syncope due to urination should also be careful when using this medication. Taking this medication can result in various side effects, including dizziness, drowsiness, headaches, low blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, rash, itching, indigestion, and liver function abnormalities. Especially, fainting or loss of consciousness can occur due to low blood pressure, so anyone experiencing unusual symptoms should consult a healthcare professional immediately. In rare cases, priapism may occur, requiring prompt treatment. This medication can lower blood pressure, so avoid overdosing. Blood pressure can fluctuate significantly with changes in posture, so rise slowly when standing. This medication is a symptomatic treatment for alleviating symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia; if ineffective, other treatments like surgery should be considered. Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness may occur. Patients with a history of allergies, especially those with sulfonamide allergies, must inform their healthcare provider before taking this medication. Additionally, patients who have planned cataract or glaucoma surgery should inform their physician beforehand, as intraoperative floppy iris syndrome may occur. This medication can interact with other drugs, so if you are taking antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, cimetidine, warfarin, etc., notify your healthcare provider. Particularly, taking it with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors can significantly increase the blood concentration of this medication, presenting a risk. This medication is not indicated for women or children, and its safety and efficacy have not been established. For elderly patients, starting with a lower dose is advisable due to potential kidney function impairment, observing their condition during administration. When taking this medication, remove it from the PTP packaging and swallow it whole without chewing or opening the capsule. If it is in the form of an orally disintegrating tablet, it is recommended to place it on the tongue and allow it to dissolve before swallowing. Finally, this medication must be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may alter its quality, so exercise caution.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
