Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or its ingredients, patients experiencing sudden drops in blood pressure (orthostatic hypotension), patients with severe liver dysfunction, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, and patients with hereditary lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with severely impaired kidney function, the elderly, and patients taking certain antihypertensive medications or other drugs should use this medication cautiously. In particular, patients already taking alpha1 blockers or those with a history of urinary syncope should be carefully monitored when administering this medication. Side effects such as dizziness, low blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, digestive discomfort, and skin rashes may occur when taking this medication, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to healthcare providers immediately. Care must be taken to avoid overdose as it can lead to excessively low blood pressure, and sudden changes in posture may cause dizziness. This medication is not intended to eliminate the cause but rather to alleviate symptoms, so alternative treatment options should be considered if it proves ineffective. Caution should be exercised while driving or working at heights as dizziness may lead to accidents. This medication may enhance effects or increase side effects when taken with certain antibiotics, antihypertensives, and some enzyme inhibitors, so it is important to consult with healthcare providers. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 18 to refrain from using this medication. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney function, so treatment should begin with a lower dose and adjusted based on their condition. This medication should only be taken directly from the packaging, and care should be taken not to crush or chew the tablets as it may alter the effects.
