Precautions

This medication may cause adverse reactions in approximately 4% of patients, primarily reported as diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, and malaise. In clinical tests, liver function-related values may increase in some patients, so regular testing is required. Rarely, serious liver disease may develop, and if symptoms of hepatitis or jaundice occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and medical advice should be sought. Allergic reactions such as skin rash, urticaria, and edema may occur, so caution is necessary. Blood tests may show increased eosinophils or decreased white blood cells, and symptoms related to the gastrointestinal system may include abdominal bloating, nausea, and vomiting. Neurological symptoms such as liver function impairment, palpitations, dizziness, and headaches may also occur, so the condition should be monitored carefully. If symptoms do not improve after using this medication for more than 2 weeks, long-term use should be avoided. Taking this medication with anticholinergics may decrease its efficacy, so careful adjustment of the dosing interval is necessary. Women who are pregnant or potentially pregnant should use this medication cautiously and should avoid it while breastfeeding or discontinue breastfeeding. The safety for children has not been confirmed, so its use is not recommended. Elderly patients should be cautious and adjust the dosage if adverse reactions occur due to potential declines in kidney and liver function. Store out of reach of children and do not transfer to another container for safety. Long-term administration of large doses may increase the risk of tumor occurrence, so special caution is needed for long-term use.
