Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension
This medication is used to effectively manage blood pressure when adequate control has not been achieved with monotherapy using Pimasartan Potassium in patients with essential hypertension.
The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning).
This medication can cause serious harm or even death to the fetus or newborn if taken during the second or third trimester of pregnancy, therefore it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to any of the active ingredients or similar components, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those undergoing renal dialysis, those with moderate to severe liver impairment, those with biliary obstruction, those with certain genetic lactose intolerance, patients with severe aortic stenosis or in shock should not take this medication. Patients with reduced blood volume or sodium, those with impaired kidney function, patients with renovascular hypertension, those with aortic and mitral stenosis, patients with primary aldosteronism, patients with severe hypotension, the elderly, and patients with allergies to specific pigment components should use this medication with caution. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, facial swelling, difficulty in urination, insomnia, and flushing, and rare reports of renal dysfunction, hypotension, muscle problems, and skin rash have been noted. Due to the risk of hypotension or electrolyte imbalance, patients taking diuretics or those with restricted sodium intake should exercise caution. Patients with heart failure or weakened kidney function should have their serum potassium levels checked regularly due to the increased risk of elevated serum potassium. Renovascular hypertension patients should be closely monitored due to the risk of worsening kidney function. Taking this medication in combination with other renin-angiotensin system drugs may increase the risk of decreased kidney function, hypotension, and hyperkalemia; therefore, such combinations are not recommended. If symptoms of sudden hypotension occur while taking this medication, it is essential to inform healthcare professionals immediately. Caution is required while driving or operating dangerous machinery since drowsiness or dizziness may occur with this medication. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid taking this medication and consult a specialist if necessary. Safety and efficacy in children under the age of 18 have not been established, so its use is not recommended. In case of overdose, there may be hypotension, palpitations, or in severe cases, shock; therefore, immediate emergency treatment is required. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and it is safer not to transfer it to another container.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain of mucous membranes in the mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities with cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, lightning headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination.
Dizziness, orthostatic dizziness, headache, facial swelling, peripheral edema, difficulty in urination, insomnia, flushing, dyspepsia, vomiting, nausea, upper abdominal pain, weakness, foreign body sensation, elevated liver enzyme levels, decreased platelet count, increased serum creatine phosphokinase levels, cough, muscle contractions, muscle rigidity, itching, localized urticaria, erectile dysfunction, malaise, pain, weight changes, elevated tension, sensory impairment/sensory abnormality, peripheral neuropathy.

This medication is sensitive to light and must be stored in a special container that prevents light exposure. Additionally, it is important to store it at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius to maintain its effectiveness.
