Improvement in blood pressure control of essential hypertension
This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure control is insufficient with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan.
The recommended dose for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g. in the morning). For patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, no dose adjustment is necessary, but this medication should not be administered to those with severe renal impairment or dialysis patients. For patients with liver impairment, the daily dose of valsartan should not exceed 80 mg. For elderly patients over 65 years of age,
The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, therefore its use is not recommended.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with an allergy to the active ingredients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe kidney or liver disease, and those with certain heart diseases should not use this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid may experience hypotension, so they should carefully assess their condition before taking the medication and monitor blood pressure and symptoms closely while taking it. Patients with high potassium levels may face risks when taking this medication with potassium supplements, so blood potassium levels should be checked frequently. Patients with kidney issues or kidney transplant recipients need caution as kidney function may worsen when taking this medication. If angioedema occurs, the medication should be discontinued immediately and not readministered. Patients with heart failure or myocardial infarction must closely monitor their kidney function when taking this medication, as symptoms such as pulmonary edema may occur. Patients with acute myocardial infarction or certain heart valve diseases also require special caution during use. This medication can increase the risks of hypotension, worsening kidney function, and hyperkalemia when used with other antihypertensives, so blood pressure and blood tests should be performed frequently under the direction of a physician. Dizziness or fatigue may occur when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. In case of overdose, hypotension or cardiac function deterioration may occur, requiring immediate medical treatment. This medication is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. In elderly patients, a similar dosage to that of general adults is recommended, but physical condition should be closely monitored. Regular monitoring of liver function, kidney function, blood pressure, and electrolyte levels is important during treatment. This medication may interact with certain drugs, so anyone taking other medications should consult their doctor or pharmacist. Pregnant women, women planning a pregnancy, and breastfeeding women should avoid this medication; if pregnancy is confirmed during treatment, it must be discontinued immediately.
Urticaria, severe edema (swelling), angioedema, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain on mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory problems with cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), severe malaise, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to protect it from air or moisture, at a temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius (room temperature). By doing so, the efficacy of the medication can be maintained for a longer period.
