Especially for nursing mothers, it should only be administered when absolutely necessary, as the drug can be excreted in breast milk. Safety has not been established for children, and older adults may have reduced kidney function, so kidney function tests should be performed before administration; the condition of the kidneys should be closely monitored during treatment. No significant drug interactions have been reported with other specific medications; however, caution is required when used with high-dose aspirin.
