Treatment and prevention of reflux disease, gastrointestinal disorders (e.g., ulcers and infections requiring eradication therapy), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
This medication is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, particularly erosive reflux esophagitis, and for long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in patients with esophagitis. It is also effective for alleviating symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease without esophagitis. It is utilized in the treatment and prevention of recurrence in patients with duodenal ulcers and peptic ulcers associated with Helicobacter pylori infection. This drug is beneficial for the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers related to the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which can cause upper gastrointestinal symptoms. It is also used for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and maintenance therapy to prevent rebleeding from gastric and duodenal ulcers. Thus, it is widely used in treating gastrointestinal diseases, helping improve symptoms and reduce the risk of recurrence.
