Progelkain Gel 9.6% (Lidocaine)

Adult dosage

Apply 23-62 mg (0.25-0.66 grams as gel) of lidocaine 5-15 minutes before intercourse. Dosage and application time may vary by individual, using the lowest effective amount. Do not exceed 2 grams (184 mg of lidocaine) within 24 hours.

This medication should not be used by individuals who have had an allergic reaction to amide local anesthetics or have shown hypersensitivity. Additionally, it is advisable not to apply this medication to areas of the skin that have wounds or inflammation. It is recommended that pregnant individuals do not use this medication. Patients with liver or kidney function issues should exercise caution when using this medication. This medication contains propylene glycol, so those allergic to or sensitive to this substance should use it with care. If any rash or irritation occurs while using this medication, stop use immediately and consult a doctor if symptoms persist. It is preferable to avoid using this medication for an extended period of more than 3 months without a doctor's instruction. This medication is for topical use only on the skin and should not be applied to mucous membrane areas such as the eyes or nose. Continuous reapplication to the same area should be avoided. Finally, this medication should be stored in a safe place to prevent easy access by children or infants.
