Improvement of lower limb symptoms and walking ability in lumbar spinal stenosis, and ischemic symptoms of Buerger's disease
This medication is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by obstructive thromboangiitis, as well as to enhance symptoms of leg pain and numbness and walking ability due to acquired lumbar spinal canal stenosis.
1. For improvement of ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness due to thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger's disease), the usual adult dosage is 2 tablets orally 3 times daily. 2. For improvement of subjective symptoms (lower-limb pain and numbness) and walking ability due to acquired lumbar spinal stenosis (in patients with a normal SLR test and bilateral intermittent claudication), the usual adult dosage is 1 tablet orally 3 times daily. Adjust the dose appropriately according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used in women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic issues that prevent the digestion of lactose. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients at risk of bleeding or those taking anticoagulant medications. Allergic reactions such as rash or itching may occur during the use of this medication, so if such symptoms appear, usage must be discontinued immediately. Bleeding may occur rarely, so unusual symptoms should be closely monitored, and use should be stopped if necessary. Gastrointestinal side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, and heartburn. Since it may affect liver function and potentially raise liver enzyme levels, it is advisable to check liver health status. Symptoms such as rapid heartbeat or coldness in the extremities, as well as hypotension, may occur. Headaches, facial flushing, dizziness, warmth, fatigue, swelling, tremors, increased body hair, and anemia may occur rarely. Patients with lumbar spinal canal stenosis should closely observe symptoms and decide whether to continue using the medication. This medication has not been conclusively proven effective in severe cases requiring spinal surgery. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, and uterine contractions have been reported in animal studies, so it should not be used by pregnant women. Safety has not been confirmed in children, and there is no usage experience in this population. Elderly patients may have decreased physical function, so caution is needed regarding dosage adjustments. Healthy adults taking a large dose of this medication may experience transient hypotension.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air and moisture. It is important to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
