This medication should not be used by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders who cannot break down lactose. Patients with a tendency to bleed or those taking anticoagulants should use this medication with caution. Occasionally, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes or itching may occur, so if such symptoms arise, the medication should be discontinued. Bleeding can occur rarely, so if unusual symptoms arise, administration should be stopped immediately and healthcare personnel should be consulted. Gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and heartburn may occur. Liver function abnormalities may occur, so liver function tests may be necessary. Rapid heartbeat and low blood pressure may rarely present as symptoms. Headaches, facial flushing, dizziness, warmth, fatigue, edema, body tremors, increased hair growth on the legs, and anemia have been reported. Patients with lumbar spinal stenosis should carefully observe their symptoms when deciding whether to use the medication. Safety in pregnancy has not been established, so it is not administered to pregnant women; uterine contraction effects have been confirmed in animal studies.
