This medication is used for painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders, such as cervicobrachial syndrome, adhesive capsulitis, and low back pain. How to take

Adult dose

Eperisone hydrochloride: Take 50 mg orally three times a day after meals. Adjust according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in certain patients. For example, patients who are allergic to this medication or those with Myasthenia Gravis should not take this drug. Additionally, this drug contains lactose, which may be dangerous for patients with genetic disorders that impair lactose digestion. Patients who have had allergic reactions to drugs or have liver function problems should exercise more caution when using this drug, as it could worsen liver function. During treatment with this medication, severe allergic reactions, or abnormalities related to the liver, kidney, or blood might rarely occur, so symptoms must be closely monitored. If symptoms such as rash, itching, elevated liver enzymes, proteinuria, or anemia appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Symptoms related to the central nervous system, such as insomnia, drowsiness, headaches, or limb paralysis, may occur, and digestive system problems such as nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite may also arise, requiring attention. Drowsiness or lethargy may occur during treatment with this drug, so it is advisable to avoid driving vehicles or operating hazardous machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant and nursing mothers should be cautious, as the safety of this drug has not been established; nursing mothers should avoid using this drug or stop breastfeeding if it is administered. Safety for children has not been sufficiently established, so special caution is needed when administering it to children. Elderly patients may have reduced physical function, so careful attention is necessary, including dosage adjustments. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may compromise its quality.
