This medication is used to improve constipation. It also helps relieve appetite loss, abdominal bloating, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and symptoms of hemorrhoids caused by constipation.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 years and older: 3 tablets per dose Once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). However, the initial dose should be the minimum amount and adjusted based on the form and condition of the stool.

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15 years: 2 tablets per dose Once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). However, the initial dose should be the minimum amount and adjusted based on the form and condition of the stool.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals suffering from acute abdominal conditions. For example, it should be avoided in diseases such as appendicitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and ulcerative colitis. Additionally, individuals with intestinal obstruction should not take this medication. It is also advisable that children under 7 years of age do not take this medication. Since this medication contains lactose, individuals with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not use it. When taking this medication, do not take antacids or milk simultaneously, and it's important to avoid taking this medication within 1 hour after consuming milk or an antacid. People experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, individuals taking other medications, those on a sodium-restricted diet, and people with a history of rectal bleeding or gastrointestinal failure should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If symptoms such as skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. Also, if abdominal discomfort or cramps occur, or if constipation does not improve after one week of use, discontinue use and consult a physician. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and guidelines, and supervision by a guardian is required for children taking it. Children under 10 years of age should avoid taking it unless specifically needed. When taking the medication, do not chew the tablets but swallow them whole, and prolonged use can lead to tolerance and worsening of constipation, thus it should not be used continuously for more than a week. If daily laxatives are needed, the cause of constipation must be investigated. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and kept in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication.
