Precautions

This medication is a topical steroid that is used to relieve inflammation and itching. However, it should not be used by patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen their symptoms. It is also advisable not to administer this medication to individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, patients with perforated eardrums, ulcerations or severe burns, and certain dermatitis patients. Pregnant or nursing women, especially children under 2 years old, and the elderly should use this medication with greater caution and ideally consult with a physician before use. While using this medication, side effects such as skin infections, rashes, itching, and skin irritation may occur, so usage should be immediately stopped if any unusual symptoms arise. Long-term use or application over large areas may lead to skin thinning, pigment changes, or acne-like side effects, so care should be taken. This medication can be absorbed systemically and may affect hormonal function, thus regular monitoring may be required. When used around the eyes, there is a risk of glaucoma or cataracts, so care should be taken to avoid direct contact with the eyes. The usage period should be limited to within 7 days, and it is recommended to stop as soon as symptoms improve. Pregnant or nursing individuals should consider the potential effects on the fetus or infant and use the minimum effective dose and duration, particularly avoiding application on the breast area during nursing. In children, absorption may be higher concerning body weight, increasing the risk of side effects, thus long-term use should be avoided, and caution is especially necessary when applying to areas covered by diapers. Elderly individuals may have a higher likelihood of side effects, hence observation by a physician is required for large or long-term use. Overuse may result in systemic symptoms, so it should be used appropriately as directed. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used for purposes other than treatment, such as applying to skin after makeup or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, the risk of infection increases, and it should be used only according to a doctor's instructions, with prolonged use in facial areas advised against. Finally, keep this medication out of reach of children, and psoriasis patients should be cautious as prolonged large use may worsen skin symptoms.
