View approved original text

This medication helps improve symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. It specifically reduces the size of the enlarged prostate, facilitates urinary flow, and improves urination. Additionally, it decreases the frequency of acute urinary retention, thus reducing discomfort. These effects contribute to a reduction in the necessity for surgical interventions such as transurethral resection of the prostate or prostatectomy. Therefore, this medication is effectively used for alleviating symptoms and treating patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
