This drug is used as an adjunct to dietary management for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It decreases total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol, while increasing HDL cholesterol, thereby improving the blood lipid profile. This treatment is particularly important for patients at high risk of atherosclerotic vascular disease and should be accompanied by appropriate dietary modifications and non-drug interventions. Furthermore, prior to administration of this drug, it is necessary to identify and treat secondary causes of dyslipidemia such as diabetes and hypothyroidism. Regular lipid profile tests should be conducted to evaluate treatment efficacy and to adjust the treatment plan if necessary. Ultimately, this drug is used to effectively manage dyslipidemia and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
