View approved original text

This medication helps improve symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. In particular, it reduces the enlarged prostate size, enhancing urine flow and lowering the frequency of acute urinary retention. It also reduces the need for prostate-related surgeries such as transurethral resection of the prostate or prostatectomy. Therefore, it is effective for alleviating symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and minimizing surgery risks.

How to take

Precautions

This medication should not be used by children or women. In particular, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should not touch broken pieces of this medication, as it may harm male fetuses. During use, mood changes such as feelings of depression or severe cases like suicidal thoughts may occur; therefore, if any abnormal symptoms arise, consult a healthcare professional. Those with allergies to this medication, lactose intolerance, soybean oil, or peanut allergies should not take it. Patients with liver function issues or lipid metabolism disorders such as hyperlipidemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, or pancreatitis should exercise caution when taking this medication. Generally, this medication has few side effects and good tolerance, but issues related to sexual function (erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, ejaculatory disorders, etc.) may occur, so these symptoms should be reported to a healthcare professional. Rarely, reports of breast cancer have occurred with long-term use, but a direct correlation has not yet been established. This medication has little to no interactions with other drugs, allowing for co-administration without special precautions. Pregnant or nursing women should not take this medication, especially to avoid exposure to broken pieces during pregnancy. Safety and efficacy for children have not been confirmed, so it is not used in this population. Elderly patients can take the same dosage as adults, and dose adjustments are not necessary. This medication may lower prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, so consider this when having PSA tests. There are no specific detoxification methods for overdose; adhering to the recommended dosage is important. Store this medication out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer it to other containers.
