This medication shows therapeutic effects by inhibiting thrombus formation in conditions such as heart attack, stroke, and unstable angina. It also helps prevent complications by inhibiting thrombus formation in patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention. It is used to reduce cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients, such as those with a family history of ischemic heart disease or multiple risk factors like hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and diabetes. It plays a crucial role in preventing thrombus formation in various cardiovascular diseases and high-risk patients, thus effective for treatment and prevention.

How to take

Adult dose

Enteric-coated tablet: take 1 tablet once daily before meals with sufficient water. Enteric-coated capsule: take 1 capsule once daily before meals with sufficient water.

Precautions

This medication may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in people who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages daily, so it is essential to consult with a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be administered to certain patients, such as those allergic to this drug or similar drugs, patients with peptic ulcers, aspirin-induced asthma patients, individuals with bleeding tendencies, those with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, and pregnant women in the third trimester. Patients with kidney function issues or cardiovascular circulation problems, liver function abnormalities, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, pre-surgical patients, children under three years old, individuals with a history of allergies, elderly patients, and those taking anticoagulants should use this medication cautiously. While taking this medication, severe allergic reactions like anaphylaxis may occur, so if symptoms such as difficulty breathing, hives, or angioedema appear, stop taking the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. Severe rashes or exfoliative dermatitis, rare skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, hence skin conditions should be closely monitored. Blood abnormalities can also be reported, including anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, so if any bodily changes are noticed, immediately inform medical personnel. Drug interactions

This medication may increase the risk of bleeding when used with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and salicylate formulations.
