This medication is used for the treatment of myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension and stable angina due to fixed closure of coronary arteries, as well as variant angina manifested by coronary vasospasm. It also reduces the risk of hospitalization for angina in patients recently confirmed with coronary artery disease through angiography but without heart failure or with an ejection fraction of 40% or more, and decreases the risks associated with coronary artery revascularization. This effectively improves cardiovascular health.
