Summary

Main use
Treatment of gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric ulcer, gastritis, and duodenal ulcer
Who takes it
Adults · Children
Adult dose
Usually taken 2 tablets 2 times a day in the morning and before bedtime, regardless of meals. For gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer: administer 2 tablets 2 times a day or 4 tablets once before bedtime. Especially for patients with duodenal ulcers, taking 4 tablets 2 times a day in the morning and before bedtime can achieve a higher treatment rate. In cases of ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the same dosage is used for the combination therapy to prevent gastric and duodenal ulcers due to long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Generally, diseases caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs heal within 8 weeks, but in some cases, the healing period may be extended depending on individual patients. For patients with recurrent ulcers, who have shown excellent results with short-term therapy, 2 tablets once a day before bedtime is administered as maintenance therapy. For gastroesophageal reflux disease: administer 2 tablets 2 times a day or 4 tablets once before bedtime for 8 weeks. For patients with severe gastroesophageal reflux disease, the dosage can be increased to 4 tablets 4 times a day. For Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: start treatment with an initial dose of 2 tablets 3 times a day and adjust the dose as needed; in severe cases, a doctor may prescribe up to 6g of ranitidine per day. For upper gastrointestinal bleeding from acute gastric lesions or gastric stress ulcers: once oral intake is possible, switch from injection to oral administration of 2 tablets 2 times a day. Administer 2 tablets 2 hours before anesthesia induction. In this case, it is also recommended to take 2 tablets the night before the surgery.
Child dose
For children aged 8-18 years, take 2 tablets (2 mg/kg of ranitidine) up to 2 times a day.
