Relief of excess stomach acid and heartburn
This medication is used to relieve gastrointestinal symptoms such as excess stomach acid, heartburn, and sour belching.
Individuals aged 16 years and older can take 1 tablet (75 mg) once, up to 2 tablets (150 mg) per day.
This medication should not be taken by individuals with hypersensitivity to its components. It also contains lactose, so individuals with hereditary problems such as lactose deficiency or galactose intolerance should not take it. If you have difficulty swallowing food or have pain, or if you experience vomiting blood or blood in your stool, you must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If heartburn symptoms persist for more than three months or are accompanied by dizziness, cold sweat, or lightheadedness, consultation with a professional is necessary. Be cautious if there is chest or shoulder pain accompanied by shortness of breath, or if chest pain occurs frequently. If unexpected weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain occurs, consult with a healthcare professional immediately. Individuals taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with a history of drug hypersensitivity, and those with kidney or liver dysfunction should also consult with a professional before taking this medication. Elderly individuals, those with a history of acute porphyria, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should use caution. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are taking other medications, be sure to inform your healthcare professional. Those allergic to Yellow No. 5 should take precautions when using this product. If symptoms worsen or unusual reactions occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult with a doctor or pharmacist. It is advisable not to use this medication for extended periods longer than 14 days, as various adverse reactions including hypersensitivity, blood disorders, liver dysfunction, heart problems, gastrointestinal symptoms, neurological disorders, skin rashes have been reported, and caution is required. This drug may conceal symptoms of gastric cancer, making it suitable for temporary use aimed at symptom relief. While interactions with specific antibiotics have not been reported, it is recommended to space dosages when taking with sucralfate as absorption may be reduced. In cases of overdose, proper treatment such as vomiting or gastric lavage may be needed, and it should not be taken with alcoholic beverages. It is safe to consult a professional if there are changes in bodily functions after taking this medication. Elderly individuals or those with chronic lung disease, diabetes, or immune compromise may have an increased risk of pneumonia and should take caution. Note that this medication may cause false-positive results in urine tests.
