This medication should not be used in certain patients. People who have an allergy or have had hypersensitivity reactions to this drug or its ingredients should avoid taking it. It is safer not to use it in patients with calcium metabolism issues, especially those with hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels). Patients showing toxic symptoms due to excessive vitamin D should also not use this medication. Using this medication can commonly result in symptoms such as itching, irritation, and redness of the skin. Rarely, allergic reactions such as skin rash, swelling, or hives may occur. Excessive use may lead to a systemic reaction resulting in elevated blood calcium levels, so caution is advised. Particularly, if the skin is widely affected or if the barrier function of the skin is compromised, the ingredients of this medication may be absorbed significantly into the body, raising blood calcium levels to dangerous levels. In such cases, use should be immediately discontinued and blood and urine tests should be conducted to check calcium levels; appropriate treatment should be administered if necessary. It may also affect kidney function, so regular blood tests and kidney function tests should be conducted while using this medication. If test results are outside normal ranges, medication use should be stopped. This drug should not be used in facial areas, and its use is not recommended for patients with drop psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, or severe liver or kidney disease. If skin irritation is severe, use should be stopped and a doctor consulted. Caution should be taken when using it in skin-fold areas, as the medication may be more irritating there. It is advisable to avoid excessive sunlight or artificial light exposure after applying this medication. When used together with ultraviolet light, it should only be used after consulting a doctor to ensure that the benefits exceed the risks. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should be cautious when using this medication, and nursing mothers should not apply it to the breast area. Safety and effectiveness have not been established in children, and due to the higher weight ratio compared to skin surface area, there may be a greater risk of systemic side effects. Exceeding the recommended dosage could cause dangerously elevated blood calcium levels, so it is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage. This medication does not affect driving or machine operation abilities; however, hands should be washed thoroughly after use, and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. It is advisable not to shower or bathe immediately after use and to store it in a place away from heat and out of reach of children. It is safe to use within 6 months after opening, and transferring it into another container should be avoided.
